If you have a clone FT232, you want to use the @FTDIChip driver and you're OK with default config: https://marcan.st/transf/ftdi_clone_tool.py … should still work

@marcan42 So basicly they are wearing out the eeprom cells. Still some kind of bricking - nothing learned. -
@bwalter01 Yeah - the registry key would actually make sense as a way of persisting that to avoid wear, but they aren't using it.
