Hrm USB-C has separate data pairs for each side. Joke device possible where it shows up as a different device depending on which side is up?

@projectgus@abcminiuser From a quick check, it seems it's impossible for a hardwired-plug device (think flash drive) to know the way.
@projectgus @abcminiuser A device with a socket can tell which way *that* end of the cable is plugged in.

@projectgus@abcminiuser But a device with a hardwired plug will just see *both* CCx pins pulled up by the host (and needs to pull one down) -
