Hrm USB-C has separate data pairs for each side. Joke device possible where it shows up as a different device depending on which side is up?
@abcminiuser The cable (device plug) end only has one pair populated. It's the host end that picks, so it's not that easy.

@marcan42 Dang. Might be possible to use analog muxes and rig up one side of the GND pins to detect orientation. -
@abcminiuser Pretty sure all the GND pins are supposed to be grounded on both ends. It's not like only half of the pins are connected.
