      @urherenow Or I could've just used robocopy to begin with, or any other number of ways. What's your point? ntfsresize should've worked.

      @urherenow "make image; restore image" (assuming that would work for shrinking the FS at all) isn't more steps than "ntfsresize; dd".

          @urherenow Literally what I was doing was "ntfsresize -s 100G /dev/sdd2; ddrescue -f /dev/sdd2 /dev/sda1".

          @urherenow Sure, but I don't carry around TrueImage on a USB stick (nor am I going to buy it for this). I do carry around SystemRescueCD.
