This culturally ingrained attitude that women should get married by 30, have kids and leave the workforce is pretty sad.

@marcan42 unfortunately that's not the only thing culturally ingrained.. many people i've met over here seem completely pre-programmed.
@ppy I guess my approach to Japan is to hang out with all the weirdos... But yes, the uniform homogenous norm is sad.
