Is it odd that I can instantly spot that horrible 1kHz buzz caused by cheap USB soundcards even in professional videos? USB sucks for audio.
@doragasu Basically the rule to avoid this is to never send power over signal or earth reference, which is what USB breaks.

@marcan42 Also you can send power over analog signal ground if you make sure trace inductance is low enough (e.g. groun plane, ADC GND pin). -
@doragasu Yeah, but never over a cable. I reduced my Acer noise issue quite a bit by adding a big fat bypass from the chassis to mains earth
