Is it odd that I can instantly spot that horrible 1kHz buzz caused by cheap USB soundcards even in professional videos? USB sucks for audio.
@doragasu Worse, USB's single-ended signaling puts bus power (can be LF-filtered easily) and data current return (cannot) on the same pin.

@doragasu USB3 actually fixes this (braindead signaling wouldn't compete with other modern/sane standards) but nobody uses USB3 for audio. -
@marcan42 (e.g. CS5381). The trick is either using a ground plane (lowest inductance) or using separate grounds, joined ONLY on the ADC pin.

@marcan42 With a careful design, that problem can also be avoided. E.g. nowadays most high SNR (120+dB) ADCs have just only a ground pin. -
