Is it odd that I can instantly spot that horrible 1kHz buzz caused by cheap USB soundcards even in professional videos? USB sucks for audio.
@doragasu Nearly no other modern protocol has this problem, because almost everything else is DC-balanced to well above audio frequencies.

@doragasu Worse, USB's single-ended signaling puts bus power (can be LF-filtered easily) and data current return (cannot) on the same pin. -
@doragasu USB3 actually fixes this (braindead signaling wouldn't compete with other modern/sane standards) but nobody uses USB3 for audio. - Show replies
