@marcan42 They tie network name to the mac address of your default gateway. Since your computer picks up the SSID they can name it after it.
@agret Is there a UI to see what networks/MACs it knows about and change the name, or is this one of those automagic-only things?

@marcan42 Yeah on Windows 7 you can change the name and combine duplicate networks into one and change icon. On Win 8 they removed the UI =(Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
