      Why are all Python bindings for ALSA made of fail? The official ones leak RAM all over, ffs, they leave a dangling reference to EVERY event!

      @marcan42 Remember this is the sound system which tried to implement mixing in user space using a shared memory mix buffer between processes

      .@marcan42 ALSA DMIX worked by everybody mmaping the sound device's buffer and then mixing their audio with what was already there. Insanity

      @oshepherd Hey, at least dmix worked most of the time! pyalsa manages to leak every single incoming MIDI event structure.

          .@marcan42 Most configurable sound system in the world... but I can't configure it to mix audio to my USB sound card. Only on Linux...
