My fresh Win7 install (no apps) just filled up its 25GB hard disk. My 10 year old, fully updated Gentoo install with 100s of apps is 24GB.

@marcan42 My laptop with Arch and full Gnome Shell 12G, having compilers, arm crosscompilers, ... lets say an standard dev install.
@skgsergio Yeah, that's what I'd expect (my Gentoo box has a *lot* of stuff including Quake3, Stepmania, and 1.5GB of ophcrack tables)

@marcan42 I'm not counting that, because when I had stepmania the song files where in my home. Same for Steam games. My home is like 60G atm -
@skgsergio yeah, my home is huge and has the songs; I'm talking about Stepmania the game/gamedata only (which is still pretty large).
