@marcan42 I usually just assume US layout :D some keys are nonfunctional as the result but I have no idea how japanese layout work anyway

@marcan42 you have to install language packs but yes its a huge PITA -
@angelwolf71885 It has nothing to do with language packs; apparently their braindead design requires a different _driver_ for JP keyboards.

@kathampy Specifically the Japanese one is broken. I can select the Spanish layout and it works. It has to do with 106-key keyboards. -
