Random idea: When filming a 3DS with a good enough camera, you can see the pixel grid. Algorithmically recover original image from that.

@marcan42@taluhunusa yeah, but the result is lossy. with boundaries you know where to sample… I guess may not need explicit identification
@comex @taluhunusa Pixel boundaries help, but if you get the lens transform right and accurate screen edges, it should be almost as good.
