      you'd think supposedly-logical people would agree that if 98% of Y are caused by X and the prior of X is 50%, then X is likely a factor in Y

      @FioraAeterna X is likely an indirect factor in Y, but that doesn't mean Y is directly caused by X or that the way to fix Y is to fix X.

      @FioraAeterna Also, Twitter is a fucking *terrible* medium for discussing any of this. Its brevity incites extreme sweeping statements.
