Assume ALL devices are brickable by evil code unless proven otherwise. This isn't news. Most devices make no attempt to protect themselves.

@marcan42 yeah but I've seen plenty that give the console user full access before. Would be surprised if it doesn't happen again.
@flameeyes Yeah, ISTR that consolekit/whatever is set up like that these days often. Dangerous indeed.

@flameeyes I think the kernel has filtering for FW commands on SCSI devs (need access to burn discs). No such thing possible for USB devs :( -
