Assume ALL devices are brickable by evil code unless proven otherwise. This isn't news. Most devices make no attempt to protect themselves.

@flameeyes For essentially all, but that's conditional on having usbdev access to begin with. I don't think all distros do that?
@flameeyes I mean, I do of course; I mess around with USB devices too often not to just give myself blanket usb group access :-)

@marcan42 yeah but I've seen plenty that give the console user full access before. Would be surprised if it doesn't happen again. -
