      @marcan42 i guess it depends on your use case. for group discussions in an age we are using phones etc. to connect, irc gets pretty clunky.

      @pepppppy I have a half-finished IRC bouncer that would make IRC work a lot better on mobile, though. Should get back to that.

      @marcan42 bouncers are really painful to setup. really need a bouncer that comes with attaching ios/android apps to make it work well.

      @pepppppy I think that's a much more desirable direction than reinventing the backend from scratch, though. IRC is extensible enough.
