As far as I know, current iPhones will charge off of a standard USB charger too these days (the iPhone 2G used not to). Ditch the resistors!

@marcan42 iPhone4 does NOT charge with only two wires GND and +5V -
@Jotaemebee It ought to charge as long as you short together the D+ and D- pins, which is how a standard Dedicated Charging Port is wired.
