      The correct name for the PS3 keys that were released is "bootldr keys", not "lv0 keys": named after the verifier, not what is verified.

      @KaKaRoToKS bootldr is the name of the code living at address 0 in Flash (which is loaded by the SPU isolated mode boot ROM).

      @marcan42 no, the boot loader is inside the Cell's ROM and is PPC (see spec) and it's the one that loads the SPU isolated lv0ldr.

      @marcan42 and yeah, it doesn't make any difference, but we've started saying lv0ldr and bootldr to differenciate the 2 a long time ago...

      @KaKaRoToKS in fact, IBM likes to say that the secure boot ROM is "hardware", although it's probably a ROM because that's the sane way.
