Full disclosure: @corelliumhq ported Linux to earlier iPhone chipsets a year ago, but their public code release does not meet upstream standards (nor can I certify it meets our RE policy) and I can therefore not use their work. Their CTO is mad at me for this.pic.twitter.com/klbjNXObfv

Because it's evident they are doing a quick adaptation of their kernel to M1 and announcing it publicly as a response, as an attempt to "steal the spotlight" and claim they got Linux ported to the M1 before I did.
