I wonder, aren't these new M1 devices bootlocked? Also, is there more potential to run Linux *well* on this new platform than on the x86 macs where to a certain extent one could run linux, but never really worked too well or at all sometimes...?

Ah, i see now there that there is no bootlock. At least for now. I was aware of your project and following it on twitter. Kudos for all the work, many would like to run linux on mac hardware without performance compromises.
