2 spaces is the Arduino IDE default; I was just making the project consistent as it was previously using a mix. The problem with tabs is that it does not allow for visual alignment. For that you have to go to mixed tabs/spaces, and that's not lossless to transform.

The real answer here, for "serious" code (this was just a prototype based on existing code), is to enforce usage of a formatter and a single canonical repo style (I prefer spaces). Users with different requirements can then round-trip to their preferred style.

But all of this is largely moot, because most of Asahi Linux is going to be writing contributions to existing projects with existing coding styles we must abide by, such as Mesa and Linux.
