Which virtualization software? I use VirtualBox and the 3D pass through just stinks. I had worse luck with VMWare. When thinking of doing VR dev I was afraid I'd have to dump to a physical Windows box.
Qemu with PCI passthrough for both GPU and USB. Virtual peripherals obviously aren't going to work for either of those. I already know it works well when I'm *not* building packages :)
Have you done any write up about this? I’d love to check it out. This is my dream setup for next computer build.
There are docs I guess for qemu. I mostly only did USB passthrough. Hear great things about virsh (with qemu). Dunno, me like bash script with qemu, some tap devices for networking.
Do you have 2 video cards? Isn't the passthrough completely taking over the GPU(so thay the host OS cannot use it any more)?
