Why is it that half the time I read a HN article about some cool research in a field I'm familiar with, I go "huh, that sounds impossible, I wonder how they're doing that"... then it turns out they aren't and the entire thing will never work in practical applications.

Do you know instapaper/pocket? I yeet anything interesting I encounter in there. I also constantly have 300 opera mobile tabs open with things I entered into google but didn't have the time yet to actually look up. con: it takes energy & attention but reading HN probably also

I use tiny tiny rss to collect feeds, there are usable readers for Android. With some good feeds, that makes time with the mobile more useful for me.
