I repro'd the horrible OBS broken/stuttering audio output bug. Finally. It happens after a few seconds of spamming monitoring mode changes with multiple active audio sources, via the websockets plug-in. More debugging tomorrow. This has been going on for 3+ years.

Well, their line until now has been (when multiple people have complained) "no repro, can't do anything about it" which is... on one hand understandable, on the other completely unhelpful and dismissive. They even closed my bug for it. But I'm sure they'll take a PR.

That type of PR sounds a bit difficult for most people though.

It's probably a dumb bug, like the two PRs I just filed for race conditions. Heck, given how the repro is probabilistic, I bet it's a race condition.
