I'm not a fan of monthly funding but I can see how a fixed price for the total result would be ok for me. Would you be willing to take the risk to get money on completion?
Sorry, I can't put a price on results for this kind of thing. Way too many unknowns.

How about a single donation upfront? (With the benevolent assumption that you'll get it done anyway, kinda like a crowdfunder.) I'd be more comfortable pledging a fixed amount, given that enough people do to make you feel like you can finish it.
