It does seem to stream 1080p unblurred unlike the MS2109, when it works (plenty of MJPEG artifacts though), but you're much better off getting a real USB3.0 unit. Internal topology is HDMI splitter -> Sil9293 -> FIC7618 (blacktopped as TC1860, but I was able to scrape it off)

I've got a pair that look just like that which have USB3 internals but only connect as 2.0. you're welcome to them if you want to year them down, or burn them in sacrifice.

Such a minefield though. I got one with a blue USB 2 plug that doesn't work with anything except the HDMI output of my Rigol scope. Fortunately that's exactly why I got it. Bookmarking this if I ever need a properly working one.
Does this manage proper 1080p60? The specs are really unclear.
Proper pixel perfect 1080p30 (except possible sharpening/processing, I really should hack it to see what settings I can expose); 1080p60 is somewhat blurry/soft so there seems to be an internal bottleneck somewhere (even though it does spit out 1080p60 out the USB end).
