Seriously, it feels like a new computer just because the GPU and, more importantly, the drivers aren't garbage. This is the first time I've had tearing-free (composited!) video on my main workstation in half a decade. Intel used to be good but they really dropped the ball.

I'm just curious: will you be dualbooting macos, or else, why bothering with Apple HW? (BTW, I was interested in their upcoming ARM laptops, but they have already stated you will not be able to boot Linux).

Because this machine is kind of falling onto my lap^Wdesk, and it'll be enough of a step up from my 8 year old laptop to keep me running for a few years.
