That is what happens when you do not go the FLAC route... then again some FLAC releases do this, but not as many as the ones in Spotify

FLAC has nothing to do with shitty mastering. I guarantee any Japanese music service selling FLACs of these songs are using the same exact masters.

For some cases yes, Mastering tells the end results for both FLAC and Streaming, but in my case I have found that sometimes there are two masterings, one properly done for the disc version, and another re-release for the streaming version.

It's supposed to be the other way around. People crush CDs due to the stupid loudness war, and they're not supposed to crush streaming masters because it doesn't actually make them louder due to normalization. I actually master my songs 2.5dB hotter for CD than for download.

In both cases I actually use a DSP to correct it, stereotool from https://www.stereotool.com/download/  helps in this case with noticeable results. (but then again you cannot use it with streaming services unless you use something like voicemeter banana)

What tools? I just tried the declipper and it makes a subtle difference, bust most of the problem is the extreme compression/limiting, not the final brickwall clipping, and it doesn't help with that...
