Still scrapping this one because I'm a perfectionist. I'm going to start burning first then printing labels later, since I've just realized that it should significantly cut down on the lint that's on the disc during burning.

When you have a bit of dust on a CD-R while burning, it makes a little shadow where the laser power is reduced. Now I wonder what the RF signal looks like there. The error correction would definitely take care of a hole this big, but is the raw data bad or just weaker?pic.twitter.com/QGBLnnZbzg

I remember marking the data surface of a CD with a highlighter before burning data to it. Computer read the data just fine after burning, but after wiping the highlighter ink, the disc was unreadable, corrupted.
