putting on a face mask is less effort than putting on your underwear before your main bottomwear, and i’m fairly certain one of these actions is better than the other at preventing the spread of infectious diseases in general situations

TBF, if they wear their underwear outside their jeans, that might trigger some rather useful social distancing.
