This is the same idea but using AMD Ryzen's 3990x 128 threads and the windows cpu monitor as a 14x9 display.

Yup, it's fake. Probably because doing this, while possible, isn't trivial. There are subtle gotchas with the take manager sampling interval, getting threads synchronized, scheduling granularity, etc. I guess this person decided faking it in a video editor was easier.
