All in all, while I didn't take a shot at audio capture, it does seem like a good capture device for the price ($12-20). I'll keep using my camlink for streams, but I'll keep the rullz in my bag. Do I recommend it? If you cannot afford camlink but need a capture card, yes. fin
I think in your dark scene most of those artifacts were from your source material. It's just that the video settings on the rullz make everything lighter by default and thus make them more obvious. You should tweak the video settings to get better levels.
(I hope you're not using a Mac, because Apple stupidly does not expose UVC settings, so it's basically impossible to get good images out of UVC devices on Macs unless you get lucky with the defaults)
I'm on Linux, though I'm capturing through OBS. I'd use cheese but it only gives out JPEGs AFAICT.
That's a good point, looking closely that does seem to be the case, I don't see similar artifacts on the capture from the outer worlds.
