So here's a question, particularly for POCs. Is "master" a problematic word when not juxtaposed with "slave"? My guess is not, because the word has a much broader meaning in English, but I'd like to hear your thoughts.

I'm still completely mindblown by people who actually think "blacklist" and "whitelist" are racist.
By etymology they aren't, but I can see how they hit a little too close for black folks, given the horrible context they have to deal with.

The interesting question is, why do you care? All terminology is arbitrary, logically you shouldn't care at all if anyone takes issue with it.
