Trying to explain the confusing and different usages of "glass" vs "crystal" in Spanish and English to a friend, and the #1 Google hit in Spanish for the distinction is wrong (tries to claim lead glass items are crystalline). Yay language.

Is it as subtle of a distinction in Spanish as it is in English? How big is the distinction between "lead glass items are (known as) crystal" and "lead glass items are (minerally) crystalline"?
