I can't believe some people are taking this seriously. This is just a failing screen.
My phone screen did that a while ago. Loose screen connector. A gentle squeeze fixed it.
It's only one column, which means it's the column driver IC, which is not repairable without very expensive tools. I already ordered a new screen.
Last time I saw something like that, my GPU was dying. Or maybe that's what the NSA wanted me to think.

This is obviously just a failing LCD column driver IC (bad contacts). It's a very common failure mode. GPU/VRAM issues don't look like a single vertical stripe.
