Look, i get greated by a Gardevoir pixel art each time i boot up, and it's thanks to you hehe (btw you had a transparency issue in the original script you linked, there's a version that fixes it if you want it)

That 's a feature! You can fix that with --upper. The reason why it's turned off by default is that on some fonts that causes gaps or inconsistently shaped pixels. I prefer the black blocks myself in that case, but it's an option :-)
