Agreed 1000%. I'd even go as far as to say "advocating for hate or harm towards a whole class of people" is simply not a great thing. I can't imagine it's healthy for the person doing it and I doubt it ever has much of a positive impact on the world.
The reason why I was more specific is that it's possible to *unknowingly* advocate harm (not hate) due to being misinformed. But when people try to inform you and you reject their information, that's when any chance of it being innocent disappears.
