I tried to use Adobe Illustrator today. This was a mistake. I spent **one hour** trying to fix a stray/misaligned anchor in a mesh object's edge before I gave up. No amount of Googling explained what the fuck was going on.

It seems there are somehow hidden anchors that only become visible on hover, which behave strangely, and which I can't drag into alignment or adjust the handles of. I'm at a loss as to what's going on here. I spent an hour trying things and searching the internet to no avail.

Additionally, as a separate issue, I made a PNG export (Export for Screens) and the resulting files had some strange transparent holes. These holes are not part of the geometry and do not appear in AI. They seem to be an export bug.pic.twitter.com/ANiDKQ4Npr

Thanks for sharing the workflow video, I'll surely pass on your feedback to the team. Regarding the export issue, please open the file in Illustrator, click on View menu and select Outline (Ctrl/Cmd+Y) and check if you see the transparent part as a Path there. ^Ompic.twitter.com/gzDTrlpm52

I checked as you said, and there is no path or other geometry there. A similar glitch also appeared in another part of the image. Note the hard, not antialiased pixel edges. It's definitely a renderer bug/glitch.

Thanks for the additional details. Let's try to disable the GPU Performance in Illustrator Preferences and check. You can open the Preferences menu by clicking the top left Illustrator icon or use the keyboard shortcut - Cmd+K. ^Om

That just made everything unusably slow, but the issue from the video remains the same.
