The people making this up are either confusing the N64 RCP stuff (which is there) with the Wii, or they think 10000 lines of Verilog makes an entire Wii, or they are confusing *,v RCS version control files with *.v Verilog files (i.e. they have no clue what they're looking at).

Hi game/hax/etc media, you still suck, you don't check your sources, stop using forum posts as primary references and actually talk to people who know what they're talking about. Yes this means you

I was waiting for someone credible to mention all of this. What do these leaks contain that is actually useful for reverse engineering, presevation & emulation if anything?
-
Largely nothing. All the difficult bits for emulation/preservation are the CPU/GPU and adjacent peripherals (the GameCube side), which is not there, and all of that is largely already emulated anyway. There is some fun documentation in there but this all comes way too late.

I got the feeling it was less of a Nintendo leak, and more of an iQue leak.
-
It was not a Nintendo leak. It was a *BroadOn* leak. They did the iQue and the IOS side of the Wii / a small part of the Hollywood engineering.

I apologize if I'm not quite getting what you're saying, but does this mean that we might not get much more out of this on Friday? I've heard that Friday is the pattern for when things have been leaking, but does this mean we shouldn't be hoping for prototypes like Earthbound 64?
-
Unless BroadOn were given the prototype Earthbound 64 to release it for the iQue this seems unlikely.
