Today's Japanese bureaucracy challenge: can I convince NTT to activate my FTTH VoIP service (which I only need on an IPv6 deployment technicality) *without* sending me any equipment? Failing that, can I make sure they don't try to replace my ONU with a combi unit?

I've been struggling with the same thing, but up until this point deemed that a routable prefix isn't worth the extra phone fee. Maybe at some point they'll improve their service or then I develop a need for having my own subnets, but currently I'm just letting it be.
