if anything, it might make things even worse. from what I've heard, the old "Oman" leak (which already contained large amounts of the verilog for the gpu) tainted n64 emulation for many years since nobody wanted to acknowledge using it as a reference

afaik a lot of Nintendo emulation has historically been tainted by SDK leaks; N64 is just the worst (afaik GBA stuff comes from SDK leaks, bits of the NDS 3D pipeline comes from leaks, and a bunch of GC stuff also comes from SDK leaks and has tainted libogc)
There's tainting and then there's libogc. The only parts of libogc that *aren't* decompiled SDK code (whether from the SDK itself or from games with symbols) are the Wii side and the scheduler/OS.
