Current internet connection status (all values down,up mbps/ping ms, testing against a server in an NTTPC datacenter): PPPoE IPv4: 10/211/22 PPPoE IPv6: 8/180/29 IPoE IPv6: 252/341/4 DS-Lite IPv4: 246/660/5 I think COVID is consistently killing NTT'S PPPoE access concentrators.

It's really the PPPoE side as far as I can tell (and it was okay until COVID for me). GEPON (it's not GPON) + IPoE is working quite well here.

I signed up for IIJ IPoE (FiberAccess/NF) on top of the PPPoE contract (FiberAccess/DF) I had on sunday night and they had it enabled monday morning, FWIW.

interesting, so you had iijmio in the first place, right? I have Asahi-Net (basically NTT Flets Hikari plus English support), and they do have IPoE, but only for IPv6, IPv4 is only available over PPPoE and it looks like it is the only option available.pic.twitter.com/vPX8mDRB7n

Have you tried the DS-Lite gateway anyway? I wouldn't be surprised if it just works the same as on IIJ
