Look, I know you think I'm the asshole here, but... *other* ffmpeg devs have already apologized to me privately about this. It's not just me here. There's a pattern with some ffmpeg devs. Also, you did kind of jump in there saying I should be banned from open source.

Yes, I think the tweet about embarrassing code was no good. And OSS is as much about trust as it is about tech when it comes to contributions. Not all devs do OSS for the users. Many (like me) do it because it provides a challenge I don’t get elsewhere.

That's the difference between a pet project and a widely used library. You can do whatever you want for pet projects (I have many), but if you're maintaining something in wide usage, you *need* to care about your users.
