when i'm unmedicated or otherwise having a bad time, my tab count grows out of control very quickly, because i can't bring myself to sift through and deal with any of them. it used to be low 300s and gradually climbed to 1000 over the course of several personal disasters
I've managed to teach myself to say "screw it" and just close all tabs to the left of the active one, or the whole window. I know I'm not done but I just accept I'll have to find some stuff again later. It took a while to get there though.
