I love it when manufacturers ship their IoT firmware as an ELF file. With symbols. And DWARF debug info.pic.twitter.com/wGp40OMJUs

Why does everything decompile so cleanly except the obvious struct in param_1? Was there no type information for that? Or does that require "Decompiler Param ID" analysis or similar?
I'm not sure if the DWARF was missing that function signature info or Ghidra just doesn't know how to import it. It seems to have done a poor job with function signatures, even though it's gotten all the datatypes and globals.
If you want to send me the binary I can look into. This feels weird and like there is probably some easy way to apply that information that I don't know yet, but really want to find out before I actually need it for some project.
I'm not in front of my computer right now, but the binary is in this APK:https://m.apkpure.com/daikin-online-controller/eu.daikin.remoapp …
Found it. The function signatures are also contained in the datatype archive with all the other datatypes. Rightclick the archive that is named like the program and click "Apply function signatures" Bonus: You can add comments for inline functions with an auto analysis optionpic.twitter.com/HLrUSuVDkg
