      No, but the bigger daikin have a wired controller option. That might be what you are looking at.

      I don't think they offer that option for this one, though it's nigh impossible to find information "for installers".

      What model is it? I have like 5 adult Daikin now, (urara&sarara from 2001) still working, but a couple of the remotes have gone faint. I know they are bi-directional so if you want one to discombobulate, just say so.

      The IR remotes? Those aren't bidirectional AFAIK.

      Anyway as far as I can tell Daikin have a wired control protocol that is standardized-ish for most of their models, and I think I've figured out how to hook up to mine without spending money on official converter boards or WiFi boxes. I just have to reverse engineer it :)

          Actually I was thinking of just hooking up my laptop directly to the mains side on battery... I like to live dangerously. (Okay I'd use WiFi and SSH in) Then once I know the protocol, ESP8266 straight inside the aircon, doesn't need to be isolated.
