Given the myriad of vendors who use the Linux kernel and other GPL licensed software in their firmware without respecting the license requirements, the least they can do is to give us debug symbols :)

Why does everything decompile so cleanly except the obvious struct in param_1? Was there no type information for that? Or does that require "Decompiler Param ID" analysis or similar?

I'm not sure if the DWARF was missing that function signature info or Ghidra just doesn't know how to import it. It seems to have done a poor job with function signatures, even though it's gotten all the datatypes and globals.
