there are so many things in embedded that are silly, irritating, inconvenient, incomprehensible, and so on, but i try to be kind to them, because they all serve a purpose and probably made sense to their designer at some point. i don't always succeed except for USB. screw USB

Bluetooth is like the USB of wireless protocols :D
And like all wireless versions of anything, it's an order of magnitude worse.
