There is seriously no excuse for making your devices available for anyone walking by to hijack just because you changed your Wi-Fi settings (or said person deauthed attacked it).

Walking around Tokyo you easily run into tons of misconfigured Google Home devices that have dropped off of their Wi-Fi network and are broadcasting, open for anyone to hijack.
